The workshop explores how figures in the field of institutional psychiatry – Francois Tosquelles, Jean Oury, Felix Guattari, and Frantz Fanon – understand the role of the ‘institution’ in the treatment of ›madness‹ (i.e., psychosis), while gesturing to how those ideas are being developed and advanced today in Willy Apollon’s 388 Clinic in Quebec.
