Vita
Christian Cortés is the Assistant Librarian at the ICI Berlin. He supports the academic projects of the Institute’s staff and fellows by providing literature and other materials. He also assists the ICI Berlin Press with book orders, book launches, and administrative tasks.
He studied Modern European Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM in Mexico City and worked for many years as an assistant librarian at the Goethe-Institut Mexiko. He is currently studying Spanish Philology, Portuguese-Brazilian Studies and History at the Freie Universität Berlin. His academic work focuses on how historical ruptures reshape the boundaries of literature, particularly in contexts of material and political transformation.
