The ICI maintains a small administration, reserving resources for its fellows and activities.
The associate members form an international and interdisciplinary group actively involved in the organization and development of the institute. They help the ICI in conceiving the core projects, selecting fellows, and evaluating possibilities of cooperation.
Fellowships are usually advertised once a year for a particular core project. Unfortunately, applications received at other times cannot be considered.
The ICI is a private non-profit organization (gGmbH). It receives a core budget during the start-up phase (2007-12) from the foundation “Stiftung für interdisziplinäre Kulturforschung”, welcomes co-operations, and seeks to acquire further funds for its ongoing projects.
